ABOUT ME

Although people think of me as primarily obsessed by poo stories, I can hold this back if need be, or if hosts are eating dinner. I like people if they are interesting without trying to be, and I especially like those interesting people I meet when I'm travelling. I think it's grand to be happy in the place you grew up but nationalism pisses me off. I have an elastic and overly expressive face which can often let me down when I'm people-watching.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Only indirectly so far, with friends at home hosting CouchSurfers. They've all been positive experiences though so I think it's time for a try!

Interests

I think it goes without saying that I love to travel. And if I have a good book to read while I'm waiting for the train to arrive, all the better. If I don't have a good book or am just struggling with a densely-written classic, then I'll shake things up and write my own stuff to amuse myself.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I'm very fond of bungy jumps for the total screw-up your mind goes through during the experience. Being pulled up from the Verzasca Dam jump felt just like some sort of bizarre but serene ascension to a heaven I don't believe in.
