Chi sono

I am currently wrapping up a mission trip to 11 different countries over the course of 11 months and will return to U.S. soil at the end of July; in each new country, we partner with a local organization or church to serve them however they need it. It's a wild, beautiful adventure! Not to mention, we are now expert squatty potty users, currency converters, and are bursting at the seams with stories, questions, and ponderings.

Previously, I've worked in international education at a small college in Michigan. I love the interaction with international students and helping Americans have the opportunity to study abroad. I also worked as an au pair in Spain where I was first introduced to Couchsurfing- I fell in love with it all.

Perché sono iscritto su Couchsurfing

I have used couch surfing to travel around Europe while being an au pair in Spain. I've had only positive experiences and will continue to use CS when I return to the U.S. I think it's an incredible way to learn about a culture and to turn strangers into friends!

Interessi

Exploring- whether it be through nature, a big city, or finding new adventures in a familiar place. I love to be active, especially around the lake/ocean but also enjoy those warm, lingering coffee shop conversations. We've all got stories to share and I passionately love listening to and sharing those. Other interests include volleyball, creating new things, tennis, hiking, learning Spanish, bargain hunting, wandering around/getting lost, running, coloring, biking, exploring. I love coffee a lot and beer a little.

Una cosa incredibile che ho fatto

A 300 Ft bridge jump in Banos, Ecuador (handed a couple guys with a questionable pulley system $20 bucks and mustered up all the courage I had).

Insegna, impara, condividi

I recently purchased a guitar in Thailand and would love to learn how to make a joyful noise with it. I can teach you basic greetings in about 7 languages and how to refine your bump, set, spike volleyball skills. I'm no good at cooking but make an excellent assistant.
