About Me
"Damn, pierced by passion, love survives us and art makes us immortal. " - Goethe
In my life, I studied marketing, economy and languages. My way seemed to be clear. But few years ago, I decided to open the "drawer of dreams". I chose one of them - one of the most important - and then I tried to make it real. So, I did some pastry courses. Yep, I totally change my life. Now, I am a pastry chef and cake designer.
I have worked in different places, here in Italy.
I've got a really large family: four older brothers, a nephew and a niece.... well, and a "sister-by-heart". Actually, she's not my sister by blood, she's more like a twin of soul - more than a bf. Can't live without her in my life.
I do not eat meat for personal reasons. I cannot have a steak or something without see all the cruelty beyond that. But I do not force anyone to follow my beliefs.
Think one of the best doc. ever is "Earthlings" by Joaquin Phoenix (to watch once in life!).
I really love animals. Currently I've got three cats.
I can't live without travel. I need to see the world. I believe that we can learn more important things by travelling than reading a book (and I really love reading!)
You know the german word "fernweh"? well, it's my favorite one since ever. It's the opposite of "Heimweh", which means "homesickness". "Heim" means "home" and "weh" is "pain", while "fern" means far, afar. So we can say that "fernweh" is the wish of travelling, the wish of walking away from ordinary life and see the world. No italian word can translate it. "Fernweh" is a longing with a very strong element of suffering indeed - just like a passiveness that not necessary ends up in doing something. Well, there's no adequate counterpart I think. Fernweh.... sounds so fascinating. I can feel it, don't you?
I share Kinstugi philosofy - if you know what I mean... if you're not, you have to know that in Japan there's a practice called "Kintsugi". It's the art of fixing broken pottery with lacquer resin dusted or mixed with powdered gold, silver or platinum. This technique increases both the economic and the artistic value. Yep, coz by doing so there will never be 2 objects with the same mix of lines. The randomness with which an obj will chip or break creates a new obj: totally different from the first one - unique and unrepeatable. Japanese believe that when something is damaged, it becomes more beautiful end more fascinating. This is the reason why they don't hide cracks, but they intensify the story indeed. They could use any kind of glue, however they choose a precious material to do that - a noble one. This is the example of the idea that from an imperfection or split can born a major form of aesthetic perfection - inner light, more than everything else. - Think it's a perfect metaphor for life.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I love to travel myself. And I like to do simply things.
Think that if you have the possibility to met people from all over the world and share beliefs, experiences and so on, you have to take the shoot.

Music, Movies, and Books
I cannot live without music. I think it's the closest thing to love.
Movies? well, I really love to go to the cinema and watch movies.
Best film ever? may the force be with you, sounds good for you? :)
Regarding books... let me see... I read A LOOOT! Last book? "The Origin of Consciousness in the Breakdown of the Bicameral Mind" by Julian Jaynes. And, at the same time, "Be my knife" by Grossman - think I read it about 8 times.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I've done many things in life, but the experience that I'll always keep deeply in my heart is the one I made in South Africa - where I visited the sweeties township children. It was just and amazing day.
Teach, Learn, Share
I think that teach, learn and share are the basic things of life.
We should learn anything in life, we should be able to teach something, even small things, and we should share any experience with someone.
However this point is relative. I could teach you something about my world - made of chocolate, sugar, cream, flavors, flour, cocoa, fondant, etc - or maybe something else. I am interested to learn about everything you have to teach to. And if you want I can share experiences, opinions and more with you - or maybe a piece of cake or dessert ;)
We all should be like sponge with water and not like oil.
