ABOUT ME

They would say that I am friendly and outgoing. I spend a lot of personal time working long hours at work, coaching sports (volleyball, basketball, track and field, distance running), and volunteering on a board of directors for a national foster parent organization. At any moment, I am likely to go travel somewhere exotic and have lots of great pictures and stories to share.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

This was recommended to me by Dom. The friends I have on here are some of the people I value most on this planet. I believe this kind of exchange of 'random acts of kindness' is a beautiful reflection of how we are supposed to live as a world-wide community.

Interests

I really enjoy talking to people. It is a lost art in the City of Toronto generally. I love being in countries/environments where I am unique and I can spend the time engaging with the people who live there.

I really don't enjoy professional guided tours. I want to quietly travel through places, quietly observe, take pictures, and learn whatever there is to learn from whom ever is willing to teach.

I do enjoy training people in sports. I think it does wonders for the mind and self-esteem to challenge your body and achieve success. I believe anyone can learn anything and coaching 100s of young children (and dealing with senior executives in my work life) has taught me many, many ways of reading people's needs for communication and steering them towards successful outcomes.
