I am currently travelling through Australia!

I'm always happy to talk about anything, share, and get to know new cultures and languages. I love travelling, sharing meaningful moments with interesting people.
I did my first ever solo trip in Latin America in 2017. And since february 2024, I'm doing it again, this time without an end date (for now)!
I mostly stayed in hostels and met other travellers this way, I have also done some volunteering. I'm now back in the CS world :)

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

It's mostly a way to meet people, both local and travellers, get to know a culture differently, and share amazing human moments.

Interests

I'm a nerdy girl who could stay all day in her books 📚, but also a crafty grandma 👵 and a hike 🥾 aficionado. Although right now is more about the outdoors as I'm travelling, I still need my downtime regularly.
I think walking in nature together is the best way to get to know someone.

Music, Movies, and Books

I looove talking about culture in general. I'll read, watch, or listen to anything interesting!
My favourite book is Intemezzo by Sally Rooney or Anna Karenina by Tolstoy, my favorite band is Arctic Monkeys, and my favourite movie might be either Spirited Away by Hayao Myazaki or Catch Me If You Can by Spielberg. Or maybe the Lord of the Rings trilogy?

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

One of the things I'm most proud of is managing to travel from Patagonia to Canada by bus mostly, train when possible and boat when necessary (so without flying once) 🚌🚤
Oh, and also, I overcame my arachnophobia 🕷

I'm always happy to learn something new, it's what gives me life.
I can teach a bit of French and practice Spanish with you.
I don't really know how to cook but I'll be happy to help YOU cook your favourite recipe!
