ABOUT ME

I just finished university in Portland, Oregon and am living in Munich, Germany, where I teach English. I studied for a year in Salzburg, Austria, and am happy to be back in the land of Lederhosen, Schnitzel, and, of course, Bier. Looking to meet people in the Munich area for drinks, food, fun, or language exchange. I love hiking, running and wandering around this new city I'm calling home!

PHILOSOPHY

Up to this point my life has been pretty much mapped out for me: go to school, go to more school, get a good job. After finishing university I decided to defer the whole "get a good job" part and move to Germany for a year to teach with the Fulbright Kommission. I'm beginning to realize that my interests (journalism, editing and publishing) fall under the category of "Brotlose Kunst" or "breadless art." It might not bring in the bread, but that's what I want to pursue after this year.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I've couch surfed once in Boston and helped host couchsurfers at my friend's house in Portland, Oregon. I love the concept but haven't explored it much and cannot host myself this year -- I am looking more to meet people in the Muenchen area, ESPECIALLY those interested in doing a language exchange!
