Me in a nutshell: Let’s say I’m a big cocktail with lots of different flavors mixed together, which all contradict or complement each other.
Adventurous, free-spirited, purposeful, flexible, doesn’t take life too seriously but also ambitious, positive, interested in a wide range of topics from science to art to business, expectation free living, analytical, party girl but also loves relaxation, nature lover yet also a city girl, yogi.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I love to see differences in culture and I think we can learn something from every different perspective. I love to have a cultural exchange, love to learn new languages and to have a good time together, to dance, act crazy but also to relax and have meaningful conversations. I can go from being a party girl one moment to having a serious meaningful conversation the next moment.
Dancing, traveling, learning new languages, many sports!! I am always a big advocate for equity, the climate, interested in politics as there is so much that needs to change in this word. Also I try to minimize the impact that I have on the planet and I try to eat more vegan food and go zero waste and travel sustainably. I am still adjusting to a vegan lifestyle and could definitely use some tips as I am a big cheese lover and still looking for a good substitute.
- zero waste
- yoga and meditation
Music, Movies, and Books
Depending on my mood, I listen to a certain style of music. I like almost any type of music. Lately I’ve been listening to a lot of latin, afrobeats and hiphop music.
Forrest Gump, Friends, Casa de Papel, Dix Pourcent, vis-a-vis, chicas del cable, vikings, outlander, the bridge, tiempos de guerra, the big short, sense8, palmeras en la nieve, free state of jones, Plan Coeur, unorthodox, aircrash investigation
I like to read books that fascinate me, about things that we know very little about, for example the regime in North Korea.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I recently volunteered in a project organized by the Dutch government to help a Ghanaian entrepreneur produce corona masks as cost effective and sustainable as possible for the Ghanaian people.
Teach, Learn, Share
Random facts or insights you may not have thought about on economics, politics and humanitarian issues for example. I like to analyze human behavior and show people what human bias we have towards certain topics.
What I Can Share with Hosts
I am a positive person who often has a smile on her face and I hope that it infects other people to stay positive and be happy as well.
I would be happy to let you taste my signature couscous or pasta! Though I have to warn you, I don’t cook dishes in a very traditional way, I like to experiment and mix different cuisines.
