ABOUT ME

Grew up in the mighty Manawatu in New Zealand on a farm. Have always been quite geeky and loved learning, after uni got working in banking and it's a brilliant, have had the privilege of working in some amazing teams at the Bank of New Zealand and Kiwibank. Last role as a Business Analyst which I really enjoy.

Nevertheless the urge to get out and have a look around got the better of me so in Jan 2011 packed up and left to go travelling for a few months. Starting with India, then South East Asia, followed by South America and back to the USA. Trying to be very 'un-lisa' and go with the flow rather than plan it all in advance!

I'm currently in Kolkata, India, and am soon heading to Aurangabad/Ajanta/Ellora then Mumbai - as I've not been address verified yet I can't update my profile to show this.

PHILOSOPHY

Two quotes are my favourites: "life shrinks or expands in accordance with one's courage" (Anais Nin) and "life is either a daring adventure or nothing at all" (Helen Keller). I try to live up to these each day.

Life and people are fascinating so pretty much everything, but to narrow it down, I'd have to say I really enjoy mountainbiking, motorcycling, cooking, family history, reading, and dancing.

Books: The four hour work week, Shantaram, Brain Rules, Smart Women finish rich, anything by Anthony Robbins, currently reading Rabindranath Tagore who is brilliant. Favourite movie is the Matrix - it's real! Music - pop and rock, especially cheesy 80s music.
