I am currently on a trip without a destination or time line, hitchhiking around the Balkans (and headed east-ish, I think) while volunteering in (mostly) farms. I am trying to learn as much as possible about sustainability, plants and basic useful skills like carpentry.

I love doing absolutely anything outdoors, as long as I am outside I am happy, hiking, camping, picnicing, gardening, simply sitting outside watching the world go by or buried in a book or chatting with others. I am easy-going, don't get stressed or bored easily, and eager to lend a hand to help out, whether cleaning or cooking or anything else that needs to be done.

Hitchhiking has been such a great addition to my traveling as it has allowed me to meet so many interesting people full of stories, histories, recommendations and ideas. This is why couchsurfing interests me, it's like hitchhiking but gives more time to get to know someone. And the kindness of strangers never ceases to amaze and inspire me. Can't wait to be able to return those kindnesses when I have a (semi) permanent place of my own.
