About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Mission accomplished!! My mission is to attract you to my profile :p

ABOUT ME

I was borned in Hong Kong and migrated to Australia when I was 9. I lived there for 6 years before coming back.
I always felt that I'm a bit different from the people around me, whose main concern is getting married and have a morgage. I mean life has more to offer than tax, house and stocks.
Hong Kong is a city that never stops. It may be glamourous on the outside, but the truth is, people are wasting their lifes away.

I'm type 7 (Enthusiast) in the 9 personality test. My personality is best described as (copied from web)...

I am a playful, optimistic and enthusiastic person - life is an adventure. I love life to be stimulating and up-beat. I have great vision for things and I am helpful and highly imaginative.

Much of my life is lived in my mind as I imagine positive, future possibilities (fantasy if you like) - my options seem endless. In fact planning can be more enjoyable than the doing of it. I hate confrontation and use my charm to disarm difficult situations. My life seems privileged and I work to keep it that way.

My attention focuses on what is interesting, pleasurable or just fascinating whether it is in the mind, in relationships or other more concrete experiences.

I hate to have my options limited; I hate being frustrated or bored, and I put a positive spin on almost everything especially to avoid a painful situation or feeling.

Stress is caused by over booking myself by taking on too many pleasures. I repeat the cycle endlessly to avoid anything painful (pleasure is my form of anaesthetic). Commitments can also cause me stress through feeling trapped by them. I prefer to equalise authority - no one is in authority over me nor am I responsible for anyone else.

My anger is triggered by people who try to put limits on me. People who are depressed, unhappy or stuck also make me angry. But my anger is brief and to the point.

I can be a creative networker, synthesiser or theoretician.
Basic Fear: of being deprived

PHILOSOPHY

Life is a book. It can be empty or filled with words. It all depends on your attitude. You only live life once, so no regrets!!

some of my interests are boardgames (no, it is not monopoly, Risk or scrabble; I owned 200+ boardgames and if you have time I can show you my collection. And yes I'm a geek but NOT a nerd :P)
High altitude mountaineering: I'm always fasinated by the snowy mountains but the highest mountain I've trekked so far is Mount Fuji (38xxm only)
Paragliding: hope to learn it soon
Canoeing: Planning to canoe around Hong Kong, but there are no one to share my dream
Cycling: Hope to cycle around Taiwan soon

Music, Movies, and Books

well I'm more into books and boardgames. I especially like history books, cause history can be a reflection of future, and it is important not to commit the same mistake twice.

Music is not my cup of tea, cos I thought it is girly thing to do when I was small. Now I'm interested in learning an instrument, maybe drum? maybe harmonica?

I do enjoy movies, but considered a waste of time going to the cinema when you can enjoy the great outdoor. At night I usually play boardgames with friends and familiy, so no time for movies.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

nothing really spectacular.
hiked up Mt Fuji one summer and saw the best sunrise ever...
Had my soul purified by Tibetian sacred waterfall (a good 2-3 days travel), only to be polluted again on my way back...
travel along the great silk road...

Belgium, Cambodia, Canada, China, France, Italy, Japan, Netherlands, Philippines, Singapore, South Korea, Switzerland, Taiwan, Thailand, United Kingdom, Vatican City State, Viet Nam
