Spent several years bicycling around north and bit of Central America on less then $1000 a year dumpster diving sneaky tenting hammocking etc. Went to Haiti a couple times was the reason I started, rode my bike from Toronto to Florida twice to do that, became Interested in off grid, permaculture, appropriate technology design. Am now less nomadic, want to start a rite of passage program to help folk fall in love with the world around them.
