About Me

I was born in Moscow, Russia, but after the Russian-Ukranian war started I moved to Germany, because I'm strictly against the cruel and crazy policies of Putin. I'm a wildlife biologist, specializing in the behavioral ecology and conservation of bears, foxes, seals and whales, as well as animal migrations. I have traveled a lot, both for pleasure and as part of scientific expeditions, from the Arctic to the Antarctic, from Kamchatka and Chukotka to the White Sea. Now I work as a polar guide and can tell endless stories about wildlife and nature in these amazing remote places.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I like travelling around the world, meeting people of different nationalities and learning more about other countries and cultures from the inside and share my experience of exploring the world. I also sometimes travel for work purposes (e.g. conferences, workshops, expeditions).
