About Me

I am a student at DU, and am new to the incredible state of Colorado! I enjoy the outdoors, and spending time with my black lab Duke. He's my partner in crime. I also really like exploring new places, meeting new people, going to concerts, and indulging in various kinds of cuisine. Dedicated to life-long learning and serving others, I really enjoy spending time learning from and listening to others' experiences, perspectives etc. I am not a big partier, but do like to drink in social settings.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I would like to explore new places, but currently don't have a lot of funds to do so. I think it's a really cool concept, and am looking forward to making new friends! Also, I will be very open to hosting, whenever I have a place of my own to do so (currently living with a roommate, who is not totally comfortable with the idea.)

Music, Movies, and Books

Bluegrass, blues, funk, outlaw country, & 90s grunge to name a few. But I pretty much love a wide array of artists and musicians. Paul Simon, CSNY, Blues Traveler, Norah Jones, Amy Winehouse, G Love, Carolina Chocolate Drops, White Stripes, Black Keys (you get the idea.)

Movies- A Beautiful Mind, Sandlot, Labyrinth, Nightmare Before Christmas, James and the Giant Peach, Beetlejuice, Ghostbusters, Breakfast Club, Sixteen Candles, Dark Night, anything Tarantino, The Last Waltz, Spaghetti Westerns, (I guess I'll admit I love Disney and also 'real life' fairy tales- sort of a guilty pleasure) just to name a few....

The last book I read was Fried Green Tomatoes. I spend sooo much time reading for school, that I haven't spent as much time lately reading other things.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

AmeriCorps.

Teach, Learn, Share

Living in the individualized society of the United States can be difficult for me at times. I enjoy learning from cultures and people that place a higher value on community and interdependence, as do I.

What I Can Share with Hosts

Fun. Love. My Mind.
