5. hiking or cycling; short distance or multi-day trip - as long as I am out in nature I am happy

7. Maybe that is because I am German but beer is great and bread is even better ;)

13. the climate crisis is my biggest worry and often makes me feel completely powerless

Por qué estoy en Couchsurfing

The moment I have heard about couchsurfing I was hooked! The concept is just amazing. I always loved meeting people from diffrent cultures and backgrounds - moving that to your own home or someone else's home makes it even more personal, interessting and enriching. It is super interesting to find like-minded people and even people with completely different opinions.

I am not at home right now so I sadly can't host right now.

Música, películas y libros

Over the last few years I got back into reading (I read a lot during high school). Last year I actually read 78 books. I love that with novels I get to experience a completely new world and with non-fictions books I can learn so many more things. It is really hard to pick favorites. For fiction I would currently choose "Thorn" by Intisar Khanani and "The Queen's Gambit" by Walter Tevis and for non-fiction books I would recommend "Invisible Women" by Caroline Criado Pérez and "The Future We Choose - Surviving the Climate Crisis" by Christina Figueres and Tom Rivett-Carnac.

And if you know German those are excelent books as well: "In der Männerrepublik - wie Frauen die Politik eroberten" by Torsten Körner, "Die Manns. Geschichte einer Familie" by Tilmann Lahme and "Eingefroren am Nordpol: Das Logbuch von der Polarstern" by Markus Rex

Algo increíble que he hecho

In 2019 I went on my first solo bikepacking trip. My tent, sleeping bag and camping cooker were packed and the adventure started. I went from campsite to campsite all the way from Berlin the Baltic Sea and from there further along the coast (Usedom & Rügen).
It confirmed my theory that cycling is just perfect for traveling. I got away from the big roads and this way saw so many places I'd have never seen if I'd travel by car or train and I was still fast enough (compared to hiking) to cover a decent distance.
At times it was tough of cause but every evening I was falling asleep with a smile on my lips :)
It was also great to do the trip by myself. First of all I could always ride at my own speed and stop when ever I wanted to enjoy the landscape without worrying about anyone. And more importantly I think I is always a good idea to step out of your routine and be with your thoughts once in a while. Just me, myself and I (and some music - but most of the time not even that. There was too much to see.)
