About Me

June 2024 -- not accepting guest at this time -- hopefully soon!

November 2023
I now have a wonderful flat-mate, and so my "guest room" is no longer a guest room, however, we have a futon couch in the the small living room that may be available for one surfer. Will update photos soon.

February 2023
I've just gotten back on CouchSurfing after several years, and am looking to build mutually supportive community here and start traveling again and getting out and about after a few years of not much out-and-abouting.

I am open to hosting surfers who have at least one reference, review, or are verified in some way.

I'm a curious, open-minded, sociable person who loves sharing stories and learning about our amazing world.
I like thinking and talking about how things can change for the better, art, the creative process, the power of language, culture in general, human rights, music, comedy, and food.

I'd be happy to host a kind and respectful person or two, here in Parry Sound. It's a town of about 7,000 people, right on the shores of gorgeous Georgian Bay -- a really big, special body of water. This area has hundreds of islands, hundreds of lakes, beautiful white pines, lots of exposed rock.

As a bio-region it's known as the "Georgian Bay Biosphere," recognized by UNESCO The World Network of Biosphere Reserves (more info here: https://en.unesco.org/biosphere/wnbr )

I generally enjoy connecting with people who pay attention to: regenerative practices, greater inclusion and equity, circular economies, cooperative ventures, public art, creative placemaking, community building and human rights. Oh, and Jane's Walks!
