ABOUT ME

I was born in Bangladesh and lived in New York since I was 2 years old. Presently I am finishing my residency in Emergency Medicine in New York.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I went to Tanzania with my boyfriend and stayed with a couch surfer our first night. It was great having a local contact. I was a little worrisome at first, but in the end it was great!!

Interests

Traveling (I will go anywhere at least once), dancing, movies, great food (I will try almost anything once - even if it is cautious bite).

Music, Movies, and Books

Unsual suspects, almost all animated movies, sappy comedies.
I like almost all types of music: classics, ethnic, R&B, pop, anything you can dance to.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I have been to many counties: Mexico, Canada, Brazil, England, Scottland, France, Italy, Spain, Tanzania, India, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, Thailand... But my best experiences are always in counties where I have worked or volunteered because you get to meet the "ordinary" people who are usually extraordinary.

Teach, Learn, Share

I have lived in New York most of my life. I live with my family so offering a couch is difficult for me, but I would love the share a New Yorker's point of view. Also, it's important to see how others view New Yorkers...change often comes one person at a time. I believe you should always start with yourself.
