I had one girl from france stay with us at the beginning of this year and were able to bike around to show her saint petersburg and make her a hot meal and introduce her to people we know. We stayed in miami before and met a couple friends from france and sweden and had connections now with them and got them lots of beautiful fruit that is grown right in miami; things they had never heard of. Those moments are the best ones. Hotel rooms are void of those which is why couch surfing is so dear to my soul.
