About Me

CURRENT MISSION
Spreading positivity and good vibes wherever I go, Sorry I haven't hosted since Covid. Perhaps in the future.
PHILOSOPHY
I believe that travel and experiences are gifts from the universe, shaping us into who we are today. By accepting life's twists and turns, we can make the most of every moment. Understanding people's roots, environment, and culture is key to truly connecting with them. I'm all about finding common ground and compromising to build stronger relationships.
ABOUT ME
Born in Guatemala, raised in Mexico my younger years, and now living in the United States, I've learned to appreciate diverse cultures and perspectives. As an architect and educator, I've developed a passion for understanding how people interact with their environment and each other. My two lovely daughters are my travel buddies, and together we enjoy exploring new places and meeting new people. I'm a free-spirited adventurer who values kindness, respect, and empathy. When life gets tough, I try to learn from it, and become a better person. I prioritize self-care and quality time with loved ones, whether that's relaxing or exploring new horizons.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

My oldest daughter introduced me to couchsurfing when she was studying in Italy and traveling to other countries. This experience allowed me to truly understand the places I visit through the eyes of the locals. It is incredibly rewarding to give back a part of myself after receiving so much from others. The couchsurfing community has been amazing; I've had the opportunity to meet wonderful people, learn from them, share experiences, and maintain lasting connections.

Interests

I love learning new perspectives from the amazing people I meet while traveling. I have always felt safe and protected, and that alone makes me feel at home. Everyone who has hosted me and my family has gone above and beyond. The least I can do for my guests is treat them like royalty.

Music, Movies, and Books

I I love all kinds of music, and my preferences often depend on my mood. However, The Beatles will always be my number one! I also appreciate all types of movies and music, and I’m interested in any reading topic that comes my way.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Loving the outdoors has given me the chance to embark on many amazing adventures, such as trekking in the Andes and the Alps, climbing volcanoes, walking in the desert, and witnessing the Northern Lights. I've also gone kayaking in rough oceans and jungles, explored ancient sites, scuba dived, swImming in underground caves, and ridden the highest zip line in the world.

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach a little bit of everything, from sports and outdoor survival skills to woodworking, cooking, art, and music. While I wouldn’t consider myself an expert in any one area, I have a passion for learning from others. I believe it’s important to keep my past alive, especially since I've had the privilege of learning from some amazing people in my life—my grandmothers and my dad. They are my legacy, and I am dedicated to sharing their knowledge with others.

What I Can Share with Hosts

You will feel welcome, at ease, and safe with my family. I am open to hearing your story and sharing mine if you’d like. Traveling has helped me understand that we cannot survive alone; we need to share our experiences and learn from one another.
