PHILOSOPHY

Do whatever makes you happy. Even if the ones closest to you don't agree. This life is your own, so why not own it, feel empowered, and be trusting of the wonders of life.

I try to live my life by these guidelines, even though it sometimes is difficult and I may get sidetracked. I strive to be a more honest and genuine person everyday with the hopes of leaving a positive mark in this world.

I welcome travelers to stay in my home and get a taste of a small town in NY and I look forward to staying with fellow CSers in my future travels.

Interests

I have many interests that include dancing, singing, sewing, candle making, hiking, traveling, nature, exercise, nutrition, summertime, self discovery, and painting & drawing.

I love music. I love singing it, dancing to it, and playing it.

Billie Holiday, John Butler, The Beatles, Fiona Apple, Third Eye Blind, David Bowie, Nneka, Ella Fitzgerald, Amos Lee, Zero 7, Alanis Morissette, Goo Goo Dolls, Xavier Rudd, Bob Marley, Murs, Buena Vista Social Club, Manu Chao. Just to name some.

Some books I have enjoyed are Clockwork Orange, Dharma Bums, The Biology of Belief, Survivor, and pretty much any book by Deepak Chopra, Michio Kushi, or Eckhart Tolle.

Some movies I like include The Wedding Singer, The Departed, Beetlejuice, Garden State, When Harry Met Sally, Arthur, Sleepless in Seattle, Burn After Reading, Dazed and Confused, Gentlemen Prefer Blondes, Into the Wild, Across the Universe

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I spent 5 weeks in Costa Rica caring for sea turtles and preserving their young. It was an incredible and enlightening experience.
