About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To infiltrate the filmmaking world, and continue to have lovely experiences, dance to live music, and make art!

ABOUT ME

I am a current undergrad college student, earning my Bachelors of Fine Art with a concentration in painting. I have been writing for my university's visual arts magazine Vision for over two years, and have recently become editor.

I am fascinated by people and have a very strong bond with my family as well as close relationships with my many incredible and talented friends :)

PHILOSOPHY

"Why be sugar and water, when you can be blood and fat?!" Tom Waits

Interests

My dream is to continue my writing through screenplays and novels to be turned into movies. I love love love good films (I'm very picky), and some other favorite things include: the color yellow, Eastern Europe, anthropology and religious studies, writing, reading, music playing, gitinsky punk rock! (gypsy rock n' roll), my heritage, making things, traveling, and running off of sheer optimism.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

One of the best trips I've gone on was a week stay in New Orleans, during my college spring break 2007, where I devoted my time to volunteer work, concerning the Hurricane Katrina relief effort. it was not only very hard work, but it was very satisfying ans excitingas well. I have some very happy memories from that trip and I plan to do much more volunteer work in the future! One souvenier I kept/stole was a crayon drawing made my a little kid just a month before the hurricane occurred, and was left on a bulletin board of an abandoned elementary school I later helped paint/fix. The back of the drawing was later autographed by Lou Reed ( I had no other paper or item with me at the time for him to sign!), and it was included within a painting of mine, created for a school, assignment, and it became very important and personal to me after it was made.

I've also met and even become friens a couple of heroes of mine, whose friendship and mentoring I deeply cherish :)

Teach, Learn, Share

I love to write and have been passionate about writing since I was a very young child. I hope to learn how to make my writing better than it is, and perhaps have a novel published someday! (something Jonathan Safran Foer-esque, probably)
