About Me

CURRENT MISSION

to explore the world and enjoy life.

ABOUT ME

I was born and raised in Alaska. I'm excited to meet new people and experience new cultures!! I love books, Ultitmate Frisbee, and making music (I sing and play the tuba). And I love walking in the rain, no umbrella necessary. All in all, I love life.

PHILOSOPHY

I believe in tolerance, understanding, and looking at life from the perspective of others. And in having as many adventures as I can along the way.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I have couch surfed a few times and I have had nothing but good experiences.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I stayed with some wonderful people in Brisbane and Sydney, and now I'm hooked.

I love psychology, music, and fast-paced board games, just to name a few.

Music, Movies, and Books

I really like Vampire Weekend, Freelance Whales, blue grass, folk, and any other music that strikes my fancy at the time.

I just watched Craigslist Joe, a documentary about a guy who lives a month off of the generosity of others, through Craigslist. It lifted my spirits and inspired me to reconnect with couchsurfing.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I volunteered for two months at the National Sports Center for the Disabled in Winter Park, CO. One day we zip-lined across the Colorado river with some clients who were visually impaired and it was so amazing. They had no sight, and yet they courageously trusted us and traveled across the river strapped to a rope. It made me glad to be a part of this wonderful human race. Plus zip-lining was freaking amazing :).

Teach, Learn, Share

I know a little bit of Spanish which I would be glad to pass along. And I know how to say "I'm the girl you talked to on the phone" in French, which is pretty much a necessary skill in life.

Countries I’ve Visited

Australia, Morocco, United Kingdom

Countries I’ve Lived In
