ABOUT ME

I'm from Germany, but have been living in England for a few years now. Just finished studying, so now I'm enjoying my new freedom, and doing things I love doing most: playing games, reading, watching films, eating, talking, listening to and making music, dreaming...all of that preferably in the sunshine and in good company. Always happy to meet up!

Warum ich bei Couchsurfing bin

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Only positive experiences so far - I had great hosts in Scotland and Iceland. Also went to a lot of CS meetings in Edinburgh, Liverpool, Berlin and Hamburg - the couchsurfing community is very easy to get into and there are so many interesting stories to be heard. :-)
Unfortunately my room isn't big enough to host travellers at the moment, but I'm always happy to meet up.

Instead of couchsurfing I have also used HelpX a lot on my travels - it's brilliant if you want to work on farms, in hostels, or similar things all over the world. Have a look here: http://www.helpx.net

Interessen

I love exploring new places, meeting new people and learning all kinds of new things; I love nature and being outside; I love reading, writing, films and music; I love laughing and having fun; I love good conversations and learning through listening; and I can generally be enthusiastic about almost anything!

Musik, Filme und Bücher

I mostly enjoy listening to musicians like Bob Dylan, Oasis, Radiohead, Alt-J, Queen, Neil Young, Johnny Cash....... but I'm always open to recommendations!
The same goes for books - I love Jack Kerouac, Hermann Hesse, Bill Bryson and a lot of non-fiction stuff, but if you know a book you think I should definitely read, I will put it on my endless list. This year's favourites so far: "Psychotherapy East and West" (Alan Watts), "Siddhartha" (Hermann Hesse) and "How to Be Free" (Tom Hodgkinson). I think I could build a good life around those books. :-)
Favourite films this year: Mr Nobody and Captain Fantastic.

And on another CS profile I saw the simple statement "life". I agree, that's a pretty amazing thing to have done and be doing. :-)
