CURRENT MISSION

Taking myself and my dog around the country on a hoop tour to inspire and educate people on the movement arts, including the mobility of traveling. I am pickin up my hoop and hitchhiking, to run an informal mobile movement arts academy, so I can lead workshops around the US.

ABOUT ME

I'm just your average hippie trying to make in regular society.

My hooping journey began June 2014 at Wakarusa music festival, and my life has not been the same ever since. Hooping is my meditation, my therapy, my way of life. Every day I get to push myself to new limits of self discovery and I hope to share what I learn with the world, spreading the flow and love to those in search of their inner potential for happiness!

Dreading my head was one of the most liberating decisions I've ever made (followed by selling everything and traveling the country). My hair is as untamed as I am.

My other half and travel partner is a dog. Kaiser is a German Shepherd Rottweiler mix, who has been training to be my service dog. Now that he has his public access certification, we're hitting the road to see the world, train some more and share some puppy love along the way.

My travels are motivated by the faith in humanity that still burns brightly in my heart. Kaiser and I will be visiting folks all over the country to share the experience of connections that can be made between beings through animal therapy and movement art therapy.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I've got an adventurous soul, yearning for experiences of the world. For the time being, Kaiser and I are traveling and making connections across America. I have high hopes that as we travel our family grows, and when the time is right for us to settle somewhere, we'll be able to invite all our friends to visit again.

My traveling interests include anywhere and everywhere. I'm starting up a mobile movement arts academy to share some knowledge about moving with the world. My personal domain covers hulahooping with rhythmic and freestyle dancing, and we're now getting started on hitchhiking. I want to also feature other movement artists, such as yoga, various dance styles, maybe even a mix of martial arts, but also including new and experienced travelers, to cover all types of movement.

Interests

HULAHOOPING. I picked up at hoop after a music festival and haven't been able to stop since. It's grown into my passion and my purpose, that I plan to share with the world.

I am a marine life enthusiast and when I decide to settle down and get a "real job" hopefully I will be working in or opening up my own aquarium, or participating in Marine Biology research and education.

Adopting Kaiser, and pursuing his service dog certification have been a major commitment in my life. Kaiser travels everywhere with me as we train how to coexist in homes and public places. Working with him is basically a full time job, that I enjoy every minute of.

Music, Movies, and Books

Music:

Good music is good, and I will listen to anything that is quality.

Edward Sharpe & The Magnetic Zeros, and Nahko & Medicine for the people are the only ones I feel inclined to list. Ask me if I've heard of it, if not, then show me!

Movies:

Anything that makes you think. Movies are an excellent take on various realities and I think it's a beautiful thing to have that projected in a visual form. However, I like to think for myself more often than I sit down for an entire movie..

Wristcutters: A Love Story , The 10th Kingdom (I'll list these so you get some insight on my sense of humor and personality)

Books:

Reading is one of my favorite past times because I thoroughly enjoy tapping into someone else's ideas and visions and reflecting on them. Written literature is one of the most authentic forms knowledge from the great minds of our time. "Quod scripsi scripsi"

In high school I fell in love with books written in abnormal style because it shows alternative streams of consciousness. For this reason, Jose Saramago is one of my absolute favorite authors, I recommend Death with Interruptions. And of course, classics such as A Clockwork Orange that test the limits of language and morality are always a good read as well.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

On April 30th 1993 a collection of particles came together to create this life called Lizz. Ever since then I've been 100% me and doing what I can to show the world how great it is to just be.

I want to teach, learn, and share everything that has to do with hulahooping.

Kaiser and I would like to show people to importance and benefits of being compassionate towards animals, and just how rewarding unconditional love can be.

Crystals and natural crafts are becoming more prevalent in my life and I want to know more as well as share what I have learned thus far.
