About Me

I'm a 24-year-old gal currently about to enter my fourth and final year of studying Social Anthropology in Edinburgh. As someone who finds it hard to imagine myself going down just one road, I've certainly tried my hand at a few different things, but overall I feel a strong obligation to create positive change through the work I do and find some better way to live. I think one important element of that is connecting with people - that's why CS is awesome!

A few titbits: I'm passionate about social equality, absolutely love nature, can be somewhat introverted, love cooking and really want to get better at it, enjoy weightlifting, and currently want to start MMA classes.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

To see new places from a different perspective, push myself, have new social interactions and be open to meeting new and diverse people, hear stories, and to get an insight into others' lives.

Music, Movies, and Books

These are always so tricky to list!

But music: Very varied, but love electronic music such as drum & bass, techno, some house, bass, jungle. Also have a real soft spot for dancehall. Also like folkie indie, old R&B, grime, and raggae.

Books: Love to read a lot of non-fiction, such as ethnographies, like the stuffy wannabe academic I am, 100 Years of Solitude, Moon Castle, as a teen loved Fear Street series, trashy thrillers, and Skandi crime Dramas

Movies: Let me get back to you on that

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I section-hiked the Pacific Crest Trail in 2016, and have just come back from Canada where I was doing an exchange year as part of my degree.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I'm generally a few chill and laidback person who's happy to chat but also give someone space. I am happy to contribute with anything that might need doing. I love to share meals and cook together, and am a vegetarian :-)
