ABOUT ME

I've got a lot of different interests, including walking, reading, cooking, art/craft type stuff, travelling, going to the pub etc! I work in international development. I'm from Devon in the UK, but have lived in Ireland, China and Mongolia too (and very briefly in the Netherlands), and have travelled in quite a few countries in Africa and Asia...though so far not South America! I love to meet new people, and to find out what they're up to and what interests them!

Interests

Lots of things - walking, reading, cooking, art/craft type stuff, travelling, going to the pub etc, theatre, ballet, climbing (though haven't for ages), pilates, squash (though am rubbish!), football a bit (support Portsmouth because that's where my dad is from), photography etc etc!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Living in a Mongolian ger (what the russians call a yurt) for a year was the most amazing thing I've done - I think it is going to be hard to top that in my lifetime! Altogether Mongolia was a fascinating and beautiful country to live in, despite the sub-zero temperatures. In fact because of the temperatures, it was amazing to do things like going for a walk ON a river!
