ABOUT ME

I was born and raised in Shanghai, China. I left home for my undergraduate studies in Kingston, Canada, during which I spent a year in Heidelberg, Germany as an Erasmus Student (best memories there). After Canada, I worked for a year in Shanghai, but I was always longing for the life back in Europe (Ich hab mein Hertz in Europa verloren XD). That's why I came back for more adventures. Currently I'm doing my Master Degree in Global Studies in Leipzig, a nice little town in East Germany. A lot of people ask me what is Global Studies - basically you can study everything related to the GLOBE, as the title suggested - be it history, culture, economics, IR, philosophy... and I couldn't be happier about my decision. Before Leipzig, I also studies in Vienna, Austria and Santa Barbara, CA, USA as part of the mobility track of my MA program.

I'm always open to meeting new people and having new experiences. I like to see the world through my camera lenses. I'm a language lover as well - it is just fascinating how through a language one actually gets the culture in a more authentic way. I would love to talk about it with you :).

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Stayed with 3 hosts (Brussels, Ghent and Vienna).

Why Couchsurfing?
I think it is a perfect way to travel and to know the city through knowing people who have lived there for a while/for their life; it gives everyone a chance to be a local for several days in that city! Also, I just love meeting and chatting with new people, so why not?

I like photography, reading, tennis, travelling, language learning, music/movies. I can speak Chinese, English, German well and currently learning French/Italian/Brazilian Portuguese as a beginner.
