Hello hello!

I´m a 26 year old student from Germany... I moved to Hamburg for my masters degree in "British and American Culture: texts and media".... and also because I just wanted to come and live here for so long already... I hope the move will be a small career boost as well... I worked as a freelance writer for two small magazines in my hometown next to my bacehlors degree studies already and now I just hope I can make the jump to some bigger papers so I might actually live of that one day and don´t have to switch back and forth between writing and waitressing anymore. But I am happy for all the chances I´ve gotten in life already.

Well, whatelse... I really love meeting new people and experiencing new countries... that is probably something everyone on this platform writes but I mean it´s true and that´s partly what connects us all as well. I am just curious for what people can tell you...what they experienced or achieved in life and I just, you know love to have fun and enjoy the small things you often manage to oversee.

It´s great that nowadays it´s actually so easy to travel around the whole world
...so I guess we should grab these opportunities in life!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I guess a lot you can already find above in the about me section...but I´m here because I realized it´s a great and easy way to connect with people all around the world...I actually did couchsurfing before and enjoyed my stays a lot but I always accompanied a friend which is why I joined this site so late...actually don´t even know myself why it took me so long but I´m happy I am a CS member now :)

Interests

travelling, reading, singing in the shower(I skip that when being hosted...don´t wanne annoy anyone), playing with my cat, writing, dancing, being around friends and family (coz it´s just so important in life and makes you happy), eating anything with feta or goat cheese in it *yummy* ...redecorating my room (preferably in the middle of the night)

Music, Movies, and Books

Well with music for me it´s like that typical annoying answer "Oh, I like all kinds of music." ...but it actually is true for me...I enjoy going to the opera with my granma as much as jumping up and down to house music as well as singing along and out loud to all the charts on the radio whilst being in the car with my mum :) There´s just music for every mood or emotion and i love that about music...what I can say in specific is that I ALWAYS need music no matter where I am

Concerning movies I am a total girl and love a good romcom but also really enjoy old-fashioned films like Jane Austen adaptations. I also love watching film trailers on youtube and end up watching all the alternative, not so well known movies i found on youtube :D

Books I just love and have to love too I´d say because literature was a big part of my bachelors studies: I love romcoms and I´m obsessed with Harry Potter!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

living one year abroad.... I lived in the UK as a gap year after my A Levels and it was the best experience ever...even though the job wasn´t always nice I am proud and happy that I´ve done that gap year and it ended up being so much fun and meeting so many amazing people which quickly became friends! <3

We can share funny stories, teach each other swearing words in our languages (essential to survive in foreign countries,hehe) and learn more about the lifestyle in other cities and countries from each other
