Hello! I will be traveling to NZ and Australia from January-April. I have always hoped to travel after finishing my studies, and now that I have graduated and saved up some cash I am thrilled at the opportunity to finally make that happen. I am responsible and respectful, but that doesn't mean I don't love to laugh (often at myself) and generally have - and hopefully create - a good time.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I am new to the world of couchsurfing, but it seems to be a perfectly awesome way to make some new friends, and see the cities from the perspective of a local.

Interests

I am a big foodie, I love to cook, bake eat and drink. There is very little that I don't like or won't try in the culinary world. And I could watch food shows all day long...

I love discovering new music and going to concerts, dancing the night away. I'm also very passionate about the performing arts, and grew up singing, dancing, and acting, and I still enjoy seeing performances of any kind (when I can afford it).

I am a crafter at heart, I always have some sort of knitting project going on (right now it's socks). I dabble in anything that I can make with my hands!

I love being outside and enjoying the outdoors as much as I can, especially when traveling.

I enjoy my career so much that I'll go ahead and include it in my interests. Speech pathology is my passion. I love learning as much as I can about how our brains work and how we can heal them after injury :)

Music, Movies, and Books

Anything indie-folk/americana, electronic (really into tropical house these days), and anything fun to sing along to. Some favorite bands - the antlers, angus and julia stone, kygo, little people, fleet foxes.

I read often, current book - The Luminaries. Just finished - Mr. Penumbra's 24 hour bookstore. Favorites: Prayer for Owen Meany, The Four Agreements, anything non-fiction about the brain
