Hi, Couchsurfers! My name is Lizzy, and I'm 24 years old. I live in Hastings, MN, which is about half an hour south-east of St. Paul / Minnesota. I share an apartment with my best friend, and our two cats. I graduated from the MN School of Bartending, which I love doing, and I started college as a business major, until I discovered my true love - art school!

I want to be an art teacher, either in high school or college, and I dream of working with a non-profit organization, either internationally or to help underprivileged / at risk teenagers build a better life. As a teenager, I was the primary person responsible for raising my two younger siblings. I love them to death, and now that they're both of age, I'm super excited to travel and go back to school to finish my degree! I can't get enough of new people and experiences, and I'd love to make new friends through traveling.

To see the world! After living my whole life in one small town, I want to see and experience as much of the world as I possibly can. What could be a more authentic experience than staying with locals and making new friends along the way? I am also considering moving cross-country, and couchsurfing is a great way to get to know a new area, and friends nearby after the move! At some point, I'd like to go couchsurfing outside the US, and maybe even live abroad! I also plan on hosting Couchsurfers at my place in the near future. Heads up - we have two VERY affectionate cats, so prepare for lots of love from our indoor wildlife.

Art!!! I love to study the art and mythology of India and Greco-Roman Classical antiquity in particular. As far as creating art, I do painting, drawing, and glasswork. Stained glass, charcoal, and paintings of glass in black and white are my favorites to do. I'm terrible at clay and sculpture, haha! I'm a bookworm - I could read forever and never get tired of it. I have really eclectic taste in movies and music, but I'm definitely a Rock fan. You never know what will pop up on my playlist next! Show me what you love! I'm always excited to see what others are passionate about.
