ABOUT ME

Hi there! My name is Lizzy Brosius (I'm on the right in a photo with my mom). I am a Michigan native who has lived and studied in Massachusetts for the past 5 years. I most recently was a waitress/cook at a local pizza shop. I left my job at the end of April and have been farming, backpacking, camping, and traveling around since.
Currently I am hoping to expand my traveling circle- I'm looking for new places and experiences. I am also looking into some longer bike trips- so maybe I will show up on a bike!

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I am currently looking to couchsurf in coming travels. I don't exactly have a homebase now but when I do, I'm looking forward to giving back and hosting.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

While I'm new to couchsurfing, I have been part of a house that hosted people, and got to meet some awesome people that way.

Interests

I love: the outdoors- backpacking, hiking, biking, running, farming/gardening, swimming, and campfires; playing music- I started playing the guitar this past winter and have been loving it; reading and writing; meeting new people and telling and listening to stories.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Recently solo backpacked for the first time, in the Green Mountains in Vermont. Had to leave after 7 days due to injury, but despite that and the very wet conditions- it was amazing. The first night by myself in the middle of the rainy forest, sleeping in my hammock with no one around, except some animal critters, was awesome.

I have recently learned some things about backpacking solo- and happy to share tips about camping with a hammock, etc., I also am learning my way around a garden/farm..
