ABOUT ME

I'm in my second flight having earthed myself for a good long period while I enjoyed spending time with my four growing children. Now they are all scattered and living their own adventures, I have nothing to tie me to one place and have given myself some freedom and time to see where, how, and what my next step will be - could take a while!

PHILOSOPHY

I'm excited about life as the more I learn, the more I know there's so much that I can't understand right now and it's those glimpses of the 'magic' of the universe that give me energy and confidence in the future.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

At the beginning of my couch-surfing journey my plan is to meet lots of great people while traveling and sometime before too long to settle in one place and make a welcoming home for visitors. I do have a house I'm working on though at the moment I only have a kettle and a stool - couch to come soon I hope!!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Wherever I've travelled I've had amazing and humbling experiences where people along the way have generously opened their doors, cupboards and hearts to me, a stranger crossing their paths. My first child was born on a journey through Africa with very little idea where we would end up and we were 'couch-surfing' when he was born. We also as a family were 'Servas' hosts (similar ideals tho pre-dating the internet) and it was a great experience to welcome visitors from different countries.

I love walking, cycling, dancing, singing, festivals and celebrations, being quiet in beautiful places, spending time with my family and friends, reading, theatre, travelling, meeting new people, variety and change - and surprises!!
