Overview
About Me
A cool nerd :) if such oxymoron exists. I was born in the Balkan and now I live in Finland. Learned to read going through my father's comics and now I'm doing doctoral studies. Did MA in Art History but thought that I wanted to learn more so I did another MA. I fulfilled my childhood dream and lived in Berlin, Paris and briefly in London. Still trying to figure out how to learn to play cello, to speak Finnish, Japanese and Xhosa, and to navigate the ship. Preparing and planing for my first Asian trip China-Taiwan-Japan. As for my personal traits my friends say that I'm kind and caring but also that I have great sense of humour and that I'm fun to be with. Personally, I'd say that I'm like master Yoda, green, weird but lovable.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I always thought that doing classic tourist voyage is no way to travel. Being able to share a day or a meal with a local is worth 1000 times more than 5 stars hotel (though I've never been in any so I might be overreacting). Getting to hear even a banal story about a street or a building or river bank is a starting point of making that place a part of you. One can learn about history and art of the place from the books but how the locals experience their surrounding and the way they talk about it is priceless. It makes everything real, down to earth and at the same time more magical. My mum likes to say that our house is like a train station, and since mine and my brother's friends started coming to Belgrade it turned into international one. Up till now I've always stayed with friends or family, pretty much unofficially couchsurfing my way through Europe and now it's time for new destinations. So here I am opening my couchsurfing account hoping that I'll keep doing that with the plus side of meeting new interesting people both as hosts and as visitors.
Interests
I love art. It makes me whole, it gives me feeling that somebody crossing time and space understands me and that I'm never alone. Or I just might be crazy and tripping. I'm mostly interested in graphic based art like comics, graffiti street art, animation, illustration but sometimes I even surprise my self with some art works I find interesting. This is why I decided to make these things my job :) it pays poorly but at least I'm happy. Other than that I enjoy having movies marathon with friends, family members or alone, listening to audio books (I'm reading so much that I don't have time for pleasure reading), cooking and doing yoga. But most of all I like to travel, if I don't go anywhere for couple of months I start to die a little bit inside. Even a short trip to the next city or a forest will do, as long as I'm moving.

Music, Movies, and Books
I used to have favourites while I was growing up but now I just don't think that's the right question. But just so I wouldn't sound like an antisocial person, I'll say that I mostly read, watch or listen things that are exciting, innovative and go along the lines of genres such as adventure, fantasy, Si-Fi, crime.... uuuuuh and everything that is inspired by middle ages and mythology.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Slept outdoor in the middle of nowhere in Iceland :)
