About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Headed out to the Midwest and East Coast for the summer

ABOUT ME

I was born and grew up in San Bruno, CA, just south of San Francisco. I have done a bit of traveling, but haven't lived for too long outside of California. I love it here, but I really feel like there is a lot more out there that I should see, which is why I'm on CS.com.

PHILOSOPHY

I'm still trying to work this out, and it's pretty tough to write down all my beliefs in a few sentences. But I guess I try to approach everything with an open mind, and I encourage others to do the same. I think it is good to figure out yourself, but not to judge other people too quickly.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have had a few of these experiences, but not through this site. Last Thanksgiving I couchsurfed my way through a week of Washington snowfall with 3 of my close friends, and it worked out really well.

Interests

I usually write that I enjoy running, but this is a little inaccurate. I enjoy the way I feel when I'm in good shape, and I like exploring new places on foot, so running is a perfect fit for both of these. I also really like rock climbing. I've only been at it for about a year, but I think it's a great form of exercise and a good skill to have. I really like immersing myself in new culture, which usually means local food and beer.

Music, Movies, and Books

Animal House, Rushmore and Good Will Hunting are my favorite movies, in no set order.
There is so much music out there that I have trouble keeping up, but some of my favorite bands are the Red Hot Chili Peppers, Pearl Jam and The Hold Steady.
I don't read I lot of books, but I really loved Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas and The First $20 Million is Always the Hardest. Any book that makes me laugh is a winner.
