I'm a prominent and outspoken member of the Free Software Community. I've given talks around the world. I'm presently working on a project to bring about high value, low-cost desirable computing appliances that are long-term less demanding of our planet's resources.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I threw a paper aeroplane off the Eiffel Tower in 1987. It took 20 minutes to land, and travelled all the way towards "Le Petit Palais" before we couldn't see it any more. We checked on a map, later: it had gone 1.25km. almost a mile.
