About Me

ABOUT ME

I am friendly, and down to earth. I love to travel and explore new places and cultures, and I like meeting new people. I work from home so that I am able to be available for my family.

PHILOSOPHY

I believe that we are all here to help each other along. I also believe that quality of life is determined by outlook and not by occurrence; how I view pleasures and problems is what determines my effectiveness as a friend, partner, mom, and co-inhabitant of the earth.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I am offering our living room, a comfy couch, loveseat, and recliner and quite a bit of floor space in a family friendly condo.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I am new to formal CouchSurfing, and I am looking forward to meeting fellow travelers. As a young adult, I was involved in an international organization that often welcomed travelers into member homes. I loved experiencing different places and seeing how other people lived. It was also such a gift to be able to afford to do so much more due to the hosts graciousness. I would like to be a part of a similar experience with CouchSurfing.

Interests

I am an animal lover, a gardener, amateur photographer, and I enjoy cooking and crafts. I like learning about other lifestyles and cultures. I am open minded and easy going.

Teach, Learn, Share

I worked my way through college as a Licensed Massage Therapist
I am a good cook and baker and have a plethora of great recipes, from German and Pennsylvania Dutch, Tai and Indian, to vegetarian and raw vegan.
I tutor math and the sciences from elementary to college levels through Calculus and Organic Chemistry.
I can teach you to knit, crochet, cross-stitch, and do crewel work. I can teach you to darn a sock or sew a ball gown.
I can teach you how to start and tend a garden, in the ground or in containers.
