About Me
CURRENT MISSION
I want to see beautiful lands, meet lovely people, and learn from cultures that still use plants as medicine.
ABOUT ME
I am a lover of the earth and it's beauty. I am lucky to get to create gardens and floral arrangements for a living in New York and for the past few years I've gotten to study the medicinal value of plants as well. I love to laugh and be with friends and family, but I also really value having time to myself, While I love the cultural diversity of New York, and my community here, I love to leave as well! Travelling feels so important to me and awakens my sense of adventure, and teaches me to let go of what I think I know and open to new lessons.
PHILOSOPHY
I try my best to live from my heart, follow my intuition, and never feel like I'm done learning.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I've only couch surfed a few times before but they've all been really wonderful experiences. My last visit was in Puerto Rico a few years ago, and our host was wonderful, so warm and welcoming. We got to pitch a tent on his rooftop garden in San Juan! It was great.
Interests
My favorite things to do are to learn, create things and move my body (not necessarily all at once ;-). This can take on a lot of different forms! I love to cook, make art and jewelry, sew clothes, make natural beauty products. I also love to dance, go on bike rides, swim, hike, and play sports.

Music, Movies, and Books
Lately I've been loving Bon Iver, Manu Chau, and always Nina Simone and Bob Dylan. Since I'm in school, I spend a lot of time reading books on herbal medicine and natural health, lately a book called "The Web That Has No Weaver" about Chinese Herbal Medicine has been blowing my mind. Not a movie, but I love comedy, and just started listening to the comedy of Louis CK. He makes me laugh. A lot.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Hmmm... traveling across the Amazon River from Peru to Brazil was pretty amazing.
Teach, Learn, Share
I have so much to learn! and to teach too... some things that people might be able to learn from me are yoga and meditation, painting and jewelry making, and making herbal medicine (teas, tinctures, salves, etc...).
What I Can Share with Hosts
travel stories, yummy food, gardening tips, medicinal teas, a drawing, a smile :)
