Overview
About Me
Aloha,
I was born and raised on the Windward side of Oahu and spent a lot of my youth in the ocean and the mountains. I had a magical upbringing in a large Native Hawaiian family. We grew up fishing, diving, surfing, waterskiing, camping, having luau's, and just enjoying time together as an Ohana (Family). Like most people who have had the pleasure of living in Hawai'i all their lives, I love nature and doing things outdoors. I love sharing Oahu, my culture and the history of my people with visitors who are open to learning new things. I'm laid back and easygoing, taking life one day at a time. I am blessed to have been able to grow up and live in such a wonderful (and wondrous) place.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I enjoy meeting new people, making new friends and learning new things. Learning about how people live in different parts of the world is interesting. I like that people arrive as strangers but leave as friends. Making new friends from all over the world is the best thing about being a couchsurfing host!

Music, Movies, and Books
I'm a big fan of Hawaiian music. One of my uncles is a very well known Hawaiian musician. I also love reggae, Jazz, 80's, soft rock, classical, and Indie, before “Indie” was cool.
As much as I enjoy the outdoors, there are still days where I choose to spend my free time watching Netflix or sports on television. I enjoy all the Harry Potter and Lord of the Rings movies. I also enjoy watching horror and martial arts movies and spaghetti westerns. I love Korean dramas too.
I love to both read and write poetry. My favorite book is Edgar Allan Poe's book of tales and poems.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Become a Father. I've done a lot of "amazing things" but being a dad is the best thing ever. My son is 18 years old now and lives in New York near his mom but being his father is the thing I am most proud of.
What I Can Share with Hosts
Aside from sharing my home, I always enjoy sharing my Hawaiian culture with friends. Being born and raised on Oahu, I have intimate knowledge of my Island home and can point out places of interest that may not be well known to visitors. If I am free, I will drive you to hikes and go on adventures with you.
