ABOUT ME

I have had a unique, if sometimes harrowing life experience; childhood taught me the basics, adulthood taught me the rest, thus far. I have had a few fun jobs, some boring jobs, but all in all, exploring America and seeing and experiencing seem to be my best talents.

You would be amazed at what can happen in a given city, once the lights go down, the unique creatures rise up and the real fun get started.

PHILOSOPHY

Somewhere between here and now is the real experience. The trick is getting to that exact point and moment.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have hosted over a full three dozen surfers, long before there was an internet to coordinate it. Everything from a British expatriate to a local-grown punk rock band, I have seen many faces and people cross my living room floor and couches.

Interests

Writing, history, random trivia, film, music and cultural experiences. I have a diverse range of interest; it would be easier to say I might find tax law less entertaining, but I can't really say that: I hear the IRS really knows how to get down and boogie.

Science fiction, Chuck Palahniuk, Stephen King, oddball interests ranging from Kurt Vonnegut to the life and times of Third-World despots. You never know what kind of stuff might prove entertaining at three in the morning.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I have seen a volcano erupting smoke; seen a forest fire leap across a hundred foot valley; seen the skies blackened with a city on fire; heard a newborn laugh and once saw a ninety year old man abruptly arise out of senility long enough to slap his caretaker for insulting him. Plenty more stories, as well.
