Overview
About Me
CURRENT MISSION
To make the world a better place
ABOUT ME
I'm on the board of the radio station KPFT in Houston and was the Parliamentarian of the Pacifica National Board for 2 1/2 years. I'm divorced, have one daughter born in 1986, and have a steady relationship with a wonderful woman. You'll find out more by Googling my name
PHILOSOPHY
Do unto others works for me. I believe in the Preamble to the U.S. Constitution and have it put to memory. I especially like the phrase, "promote the general welfare..."

Music, Movies, and Books
I think the Pawnbroker had the greatest impact on me. I generally like films without violence. I see more than my share of documentaries, the strongest of which in the last few years was Sicko. I like Motown from the '60s and '70s, most forms of jazz, just not the far-out progressive (wish I could understand it); I've been to festivals in New Orleans, Newport, Monterrey, and Elat, Israel. It helps to have lived past 60. I should read more. The last book I really sunk my teeth into was Embracing Uncertainty; I also liked Barak Obama's second book.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Wrote a high school sports column for the now defuct Hearst newspaper in Los Angeles that advocated interscholastic sports for girls. This predated Title 9
Teach, Learn, Share
I've taught Robert's Rules to all ages, 4th grade up and believe this is a tool that, when used properly, can contribute to human understanding. I've spent many years around colleges and am good at advising people who are going to one.
