ABOUT ME

I am the mother of a 22 year old soul. He is my teacher and my guide. I am in love with a man named Dorsey who has taught me patience and unconditional love. All three of us live a very simple uncomplicated life based on love, respect and support for one another. I couldn't ask for more.

if you can be with joy

if you can dance with wildness
and let the ecstasy fill you
to the tips of your fingers and toes
without cautioning us
to be careful
to be realistic
to remember the limitations
of being human.

if the story you are telling me

I want to know if you can
disappoint another
to be true to yourself.
If you can bear
the accusation of betrayal
and not betray your own soul.
If you can be faithless
and therefore trustworthy.

I want to know if you can see Beauty
even when it is not pretty
every day.
And if you can source your own life
from its presence.

if you can live with failure
yours and mine
and still stand at the edge of the lake
and shout to the silver of the full moon,
“Yes.”

It doesn’t interest me
to know where you live
or how much money you have.
I want to know if you can get up
after the night of grief and despair
weary and bruised to the bone
and do what needs to be done
to feed the children.

It doesn’t interest me
who you know
or how you came to be here.
I want to know if you will stand
in the centre of the fire
with me
and not shrink back.

It doesn’t interest me
where or what or with whom
you have studied.
I want to know
what sustains you
from the inside
when all else falls away.

I want to know
if you can be alone
with yourself
and if you truly like
the company you keep
in the empty moments.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

My son is currently traveling through Tahiti, New Zealand, Australia, Thailand and Japan. I am trying to figure out how I can repay the generosity of the CS community. I am extremely grateful for those generous souls who have opened their hearts and homes for my son and his two companions.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have no experience at this time.

Interests

I enjoy several hobbies and seem to jump from one to another depending on my moods and the time of the year. I love and make my own jewerly. I sew my own clothes. I love to cook for my boys. I enjoy beach walks during a full moon. I camp out for days at a time at the harbor. I love Nature and the teachings it has for us if we just open up to it. I enjoy dressing out and going out for drinks and karaoke. I enroll in meditation classes now and then.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I am a Fire Walker. I have walked through the Element of Fire. I have bent metal. I did four days and four nightS with no food or Water during a Native American Ceremony called Vision Quest.

Teach, Learn, Share

I believe that life is beautiful and simple. I follow a Native American tradition way of life. Every 3rd Saturday of the month I participate in a Sweatlogde Ceremony, so if you're interested, let me know. Life is Sacred and so are you!
