I try my best to be nice and friendly. I like to think that I'm fairly low-maintenance, and I enjoy learning about people and things. I can be a quiet observer or really talkative and lively, often depending on the company.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Right now, I'm mainly just looking for couches, but I guess I could host in a pinch, and I hope that my living arrangements will someday allow me to properly host others as well.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I surfed a bit while travelling in Canada, and my experiences were extremely positive. I met some of the best people of my entire trip, and for that I'm really grateful!

MUSIC: Bruce Springsteen, Neil Young, Aimee Mann, Rheostatics, Bourbon Tabernacle Choir (plus a million billion others - lovelovelove music!)

MOVIES: Magnolia, 2046, It's a Wonderful Life, I Wanna Hold Your Hand, Brazil

TV (at the moment): Doctor Who, Blake's 7, X-Files, Arrested Development, Xena: Warrior Princess

BOOKS: (authors) Carson McCullers, Jane Austen, Joyce Carol Oates, Doris Lessing, the Brontë sisters. (Also, Harry Potter and Lord of the Rings have my heart.)

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Participating in an outdoors dance party in Oniipa, Namibia; climbing to Mount Waynapicchu; listening to genuine New Orleans Jazz IN New Orleans.

Ask me about the influence of Christian and Buddhist ethics on the view of immortality in Doctor Who. I've written a thesis about it. Seriously.
