Hi everybody!

My name is Laura, I am Mexican but I am living in The Netherlands since 3 years ago. I studied Tourism on Mexico City, where I lived since I got 23 years. At this time, I decided to move to Playa del Carmen (Mexico). I worked on museums, hotels, tourist places and at the Mexico City´s Airport around 6 years before to decide to move to The Netherlands. My curiosity to meet more people from different countries, learning and practicing languages and traveling were the key to be here. Now I am worked on sales, but my adventure in Europe is not finishing...

我为什么加入 Couchsurfing

My first experience on couchsurfing was in Amsterdam, where I had the chance to be in a meeting. It was amazing, in one night I meet a lot of wonderful people with the same ideas like me: traveling! After this time, I decided oficially to open my account. For couchsurfing I met people whose helped me when I am traveling, and one of the greatest experience was when I was on Paris: a wonderful couch offered me hosting and helping me during my time there. Since that, I believe that there is a lot of honest and friendly people everywhere. I love it!

I love rock music, more in Spanish ahaha... some of my favorite bands are: Led Zeppelin, Pink Floyd, Nirvana, Coldplay... in spanish I like: Caifanes (Mexican rock band), La Oreja de Van Gogh (spanish and pop music), Cafe Tacuba, Soda Stereo, Los Fabulosos Cadillacs, Molotov... I love to read too and I have a lot of favorite books, but one of my favorite writers is Brian Weiss. I do not like to much cinema (serious?) Yes, I am not good for movies except if I am really interest on the story.... Also I do not like TV, maybe some series, but they must be really interesting and attractive for me !!!

我做过的一件不可思议的事情

Living on board, honestly I think it was one of my dreams when I was child... coming to Europe...it was a dream become true!
Finish the University, and getting my diploma. Talking languages. I was a bad learner until I decided to study Tourism....I am still learning but it was a big challenge for me (specially because I was too old when I started with English) before that I just spoke Spanish. Now I am taking English, a little bit of French and I am learning Dutch and German

I love to talk about Mexico. I love my country. If I have tha chance to help somebody who wants to go to Mexico, I give my best advices and my best recommendations for get the best experince there. Fortunatly I have good friend whose live and work on Mexico City and Playa del Carmen and if they need something I try to help through my friends there.
