O mnie

I'm a very spontaneous person and an optimist at heart. I'm a newly graduated physiotherapist, and I love my ockupation! It did take me quite a while to find the right path though...

Since graduation I have tried studying both engineering and philosophy, even though I am aware that thore subjects don’t really go hand in hand. I have to say though, that taking a course in philosophy might not ensure a bright futur, but it's indeed a great excuse to vividly debat topics such as the meaning of life, art, moral and euthanasia while sipping whiskey, and call it studying.

Three times in my life I have quite spontaneously stuffed my life down in a backpack to go travelling. I think that certen amount af restelssness may run in the family... Oh well. While travelling, more often then not I have done it with my amazing friend, and definitely better travelling half, Nora. Who also might be slightly restless. I couldn't imagine a much better travelling buddy though, since she's very spontaneous, adventurus, fearless, and quite the comedian. She also knows how to read maps and actually remembers all the travel advise we are given. Very handy!

As mentioned above, I'm a physiotherapist. And just like the stereotype of us, I love leading an active life and doing stuff like hiking, running, climbing, yoga and meditation. I'm even a certified mindfulness instructor (so now, at least theoretically, I'm slightly less restless).

Dlaczego jestem na Couchsurfing

Just like so many others, I love meeting new people from around the world, and getting out of my Swedish "bubble". A city is nothing without its people.

On my first backpacking trip vas very spontaneousand therfor I had to keep the budget really tights. It didn't take me long to fall in love with couchsurfing though. Some of my most precious memories come from staying with locals, and I've gotten some real frieds via the app. Today, I always choose couchsurfing above all other accommodations.

Muzyka, filmy i książki

By reading you get he opportunity to enter new worlds and get some new perspectives. Therefor, when I can't travel, I read.

Music means a lot to me. One of the best feelings according to me is when a song lyric can set words to your feelings.

I tend to prefer Swedish music (we have a lot of it, because yes, we Swedes do export more than Volvo and IKEA furniture), it more gets to me. Therefore, José Gonzalez, Dina Ögon, The Talles Man on Earth, Kent, Lars Winnerbäck, Albin Lee Meldau and First Aid Kit are artists/bands that means a lot to me. Non-swedish favorite artists/bands atm are Fleetwood Mac, Vulfpek, Unknown Mortal Orchestra and Bon Iver. Also starting to really appreciate jazz music more and more.

Jedna niesamowita rzecz, którą zrobiłem(-am)

Hitchhiking 3800km all over New Zealand, woofing on farms in France and New Zealand, traveling up the east coast in Australia for a month only staying with locals, teaching English in Saigon and hitchhiking to an erupting vulcano in Iceland are also great things I've done that I will remember and appreciate forever.

Ucz innych, ucz się sam, udostępniaj

Everybody sees the world in their own personal way, so just by talking to others, and preferably from other cultures, you learn a lot and grow as a person.

As mentioned, I'm a physiotherapist, so if we're on a hike and you strain your ankle, I might come in handy.

Czym mogę się podzielić z gospodarzami

As you might have figured, I really enjoy cooking, so I'd love to help in the kitchen! I also happen to be a pro (yes...Nora confirmes it, she even wrote this) when it comes to Swedish pastries. Have you had the pleasure to try swedish cinnamon buns, our amazing Kladdkaka (mud cake, trust me, sounds far more tasty in Swedish...) or swedish pancakes? If not, maybe I can be the one to change that?

Also, I never travel without my in-case-of-emergency-chocolate-supply. Sharing is caring.
