About Me
CURRENT MISSION
Wandering aimfully, I hope..
PHILOSOPHY
Errr, "let's bee friends" (and there's a picture of a bee on it)? I don't really have a personal philosophy as such bar a general tendency to try to get on with people without letting neuroses get in the way..
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
Only couch-surfed once but it was before going to the Pavement ATP festival in Minehead; myself and a friend were treated to a good ol' time in Bristol by a gentleman named Jason. A positive experience, no doubt. Have hosted a few people here in Edinburgh and methinks it's a good thing!

Music, Movies, and Books
Lots but I guess for movies I always go back to Hal Hartley, Monty Python is fantastic and so is Billy Wilder. Recently, I've been listening to weird prog rock I haven't heard before like Matching Mole and Gong, as well as re-listening to old favourites like Mercury Rev. And I read a lot of social/cultural history because I'm studying it for my PhD; otherwise, Haruki Murakami is pretty ace as a novelist/short story writer - ditto Truman Capote and Patrick Kavanagh.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I climbed the somewhat dangerous crags in Edinburgh when quite drunk in 2007. Not necessarily amazing but I'm always amazed that I didn't injure myself in retrospect.
Teach, Learn, Share
I tutor English literature at the university and could probably hazard an impromptu couch class ;)
