"I've got a good idea: Let's pretend we're real human beings!"
My friends might say I'm restless. I might agree. I'm always making and changing plans, but the important thing (to me) is that I'm going through with the things I want to do.
Try to be part of the world and have a relationship with it that works for everyone.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I've hosted and I've surfed. I love sharing my city with people, and I love to be able to see other cities through the eyes (or couch) of a local.
My first time hosting was for a French girl, Marie... can't wait to one day stay with her in Paris!
Reading and writing (but not arithmetic), making music, scanning the Internet for cheap flights, collecting postcards, mailing postcards, getting in over my head in DIY projects, walking around cities, drinking wine from something sturdier than a wine glass, views from high altitudes, t-shirts, scheming
Music, Movies, and Books
Lawrence of Arabia, Edward Scissorhands, Beautiful Girls...
Belle and Sebastian, Ben Folds, Aimee Mann, Pearl Jam...
The World According to Garp, A River Runs Through It, Everything is Illuminated...
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Camping in a treehouse on the Mediterranean Sea! Flying a small plane over the Grand Canyon! Getting soaked at the Buddhist Water Festival in Burma! The abundance of warmth and hospitality I find while traveling! I'm not kidding.. this is overwhelming!
Teach, Learn, Share
Hm, well, to be specific, I know a lot about Oscar award-winning films, efficient google-ing, living and traveling on a budget, academic advising, letter-writing, and I know how to whistle three different ways!
