We are Torsten and Danielle, a German-American couple who love to travel. We are both involved with meditation, yoga and other practices and we cherish mellow nature environments to do our practice in. Then sometimes we also jump into a big city and experience the buzz! Our favorite food is fruit, so we are always looking for the best fruit shops everywhere we go. :D

We've spent the last several years as nomadic house sitters, both overseas and now back in the US the last couple years. You can see our site theyogihousesitters.com for more about our mission in the past few years.

我为什么加入 Couchsurfing

We are on Couchsurfing because it's such a great concept! Danielle used to offer a stopover in paradise (California redwoods), and we hope to host again one day soon. At the moment we are on the surfing side.

Danielle: I hosted surfers for a few years and now I'm in the role of surfing! Also I've lived in friends' living rooms in my tent for extended lengths of time. I've lived in a couple major couchsurfing locations in San Francisco and Berlin, and I've been exposed to so many wonderful new people through it!

Torsten: I was a Buddhist monk for one year and during that time lived on the generosity of others. I've had fun surfing so far and look forward to hosting one day. I’ve also lived in a couchsurfing spot in Berlin and love the variety of people it brings.
