Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Hi! My name is Lauren but everyone calls me Lo.

I am on here as I just finished up a road trip down the coast and am (finally) moving back to LA! I recently decided to move from Lake Forest, IL back to LA and thought it would be a really cool experience to meet my best friend from SoCal up in Seattle and drive down the coast together, checking out some beautiful, cool spots along the way. I've been so lucky to have road tripped all over the country but had never done a Pacific Northwest Coastal drive and it was so beautiful! But now I'm back in LA and trying to decide where I want settle down in LA (Ive been gone a few years) and thought it would be a cool opportunity to check out different spots and meet new friends at the same time :)

I have lots of friends who have raved about Couchsurfing and all of the amazing people they've met during their travels and I love meeting new people and learning new things so I signed up!

Music, Movies, and Books

I love all music but my top favorite artists are Tori Amos, Bob Dylan, Ray Lamontagne, Bon Iver, Grateful Dead, Phish, Aerosmith, Nirvana, Muddy Waters & Leadbelly to name a few... definitely an eclectic mix!

I have so many favorite books but my favorite would be "The Glass Castle" by Jeannette Walls. I love memoirs of any kind.

I used to work as a private chef and love cooking for other people. I love teaching recipes and cooking with other people :)
