Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I'm coming to Tokyo in August for a vacation all by my lonesome self and looking for like minded people to geek out with, maybe more. Looking for people(Or a person) to help me enjoy the city and share some experiences with.

Interests

Well, I have been directing and working in film since 2009 and I'm very passionate about it. I have produced commercials, Music videos, Features, and short films etc. I mainly work as director of photography, but do prefer to get in the directors chair for my own projects.

Outside of that I run a retro video game store in Knoxville which is my other passion... Old Vintage Electronics. I have an absurd amount of 80's and 90's Electronics.

I dig all kinds of films from all time periods and countries. I honestly have no real preference as a good piece of art is good, period. I don't care if it's Hollywood, Indie, Foreign, whatever.

Music, Movies, and Books

BOOKS: American Psycho, Fuel Injected Dreams, Testosterone, 1984, LoveCraft, Swamp Thing (Alan Moore) Akira Kurosawa's Something like an autobiography. I'm a sucker for 80's and 60's pop culture novels about hairy gay men.

FILM: I own thousands of movies from all over the world...where to start? Maybe later.

MUSIC: New Order is probably my favorite band along with Kraftwerk, Depeche Mode, Various FIlm Soundtracks, Jesus Lizard, KMFDM, Wu tang, Worlds End Girlfriend and I should just stop here.

GAMES: Metal Gear Solid, Shadow of the Colossus, Ico, Hotline Miami, Persona, Majora's Mask, Okami, God Hand, Super Metroid, The Stanely Parable..the list goes on.
