Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I quit my job at the Congressional Budget Office in DC to drive home to Montana. I'm new to couchsurfing, but have so far enjoyed meeting and learning from hosts. I've got a lot of ground to cover in a short amount of time. Sadly, this means I'm unable to stay in each place for near as long as I'd like. If it looks like I'm just searching for a crashpad, there's some truth to that, but it's not my natural inclination.

I like economics, politics, history, current affairs, and unfamiliar people. I'd rather hear the opinions of others than my own.
