About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To adventure, let life take me where it will, and let the Fates have some fun/freedom with my life. I want to /live/.

ABOUT ME

I'm a fairly intelligent guy, who appreciates stimulating conversation.

I'm a Lover, truth be told- and not ashamed to admit it.

PHILOSOPHY

I have a goal, that i want to actually /live/ my life. I left high school early and got my GED through a special program- not because I'm even remotely stupid, but because i want to live.

I do not want the cookie cutter ,college-cubicle for 50 years-retire-die, life. I want to have adventures, i want to meet interesting people, and have amazing experiences. i want, should i Die at age 26, to die satisfied, knowing that I truly lived.

A strong element of my philosophy, when deciding to do things, is to ask the question "Why, and Why Not?"
Because of this i sometimes end up doing seemingly silly and/or crazy things, but upon further investigation, it usually becomes clear that what I'm doing isn't crazy at all, and is likely caused by simple logic.

Music, Movies, and Books

I enjoy classic rock, and some new music, which could fall under the categories of "Neo-folk, folk, two-step, dark cabaret, experimental, and spooky." :)

I enjoy music that is interesting, and not painful to hear. heh.

I particularly enjoy books by the following authors: Dean Koontz, Christopher Moore, Terry Pratchett, and Douglas Adams, among others.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

- When I was 17, a friend of mine gave me acid, and at some point during the experience, i was struck by the notion that everything I knew could be wrong. (I believe what triggered that was watching a solid item start to melt like liquid- a lifelong but never-spoken assumption had been shattered.)
I thought about this for quite some time. That idea, and the contemplations it inspired, has opened up hundreds of doors for me. It still serves me positively to this day, allowing me to keep an open mind, and making learning and progress flow more smoothly.

- In August 2011 I attended Burning Man 2011; Rites Of Passage. It was.. Amazing. It was Adventure, and Learning, and Love, and beautiful Friends! It's a bit hard to do it justice with text.

Teach, Learn, Share

I was a boy scout when i was younger, for about 3 years. I picked up some general survival/first aid knowledge there.

I have a wealth of random little facts and tidbits about life in general. I can ride a bike exceedingly well, as it is my only personal mode of transportation.

I am very willing to help teach these or any other of my skills/knowledge, to anyone willing to learn.
